Hyundai Australia have announced details and specifications for the 2019 Tucson range.

The Tucson range will be available in three engines: a 121kW/203Nm 2.0-litre ‘GDi’ naturally-aspirated petrol; a 130kW/265Nm 1.6-litre ‘T-GDi’ turbocharged petrol; and a 136kW/400Nm 2.0-litre ‘CRDi’ turbo-diesel.

The Tucson will be offered in Go, ActiveX, Elite, and Highlander trims. The Go and ActiveX trims will come with Hyundai’s SmartSense active safety suit and will include autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. The ActiveX will add an 8.0-inch touchscreen with inbuilt satellite navigation, DAB+ digital radio 17-inch alloys, and more. Elite will feature the Safety pack, 18-inch alloys, rain-sensing wipers, privacy glass and more. Finally, the top-of-the-line Highlander will have 19-inch alloys wheels, LED headlights, LED tail-lights front-parking sensors, electro-chromatic rear-view mirror among more.

The 2019 Tucson will start its pricing at $27,990.
