The updated 2024 Hyundai i30 Sedan N has made its debut in Australian showrooms, sporting a starting price of $52,000 plus on-road costs, representing a modest increase of $1800 compared to its predecessor. This facelift introduces a refreshed design, advanced technology features, and subtle mechanical changes while maintaining the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.

Visually, the facelift includes redesigned front and rear bumpers, the substitution of silver and chrome badges with black aluminium versions, and the addition of new 19-inch forged alloy wheels. Interior updates involve a black Hyundai badge on the steering wheel, an enlarged wireless phone charging pad, and additional USB-C ports (one front, two rear).

The 2024 i30 Sedan N gains traffic-sign recognition technology, providing visual and audio alerts when the vehicle exceeds detected speed limits. However, certain features available in South Korean models, such as adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, Blind-Spot View Monitor side cameras, and two extra airbags in the rear doors, may not be present in Australian versions.

Bluelink connected-car technology is introduced for 2024, enabling remote unlocking and vehicle tracking via a smartphone app. Sports bucket front seats with Alcantara and leather trim, available in South Korea, remain exclusive to overseas markets, with Australian models retaining less aggressively-bolstered, leather-trimmed sports front seats.

Under the hood, the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine maintains its outputs of 206kW and 392Nm, directed to the front wheels through a six-speed manual or eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Mechanical enhancements include adjusted adaptive suspension tuning, a reinforced engine mount membrane, upgrades to select suspension bushings, and a change in the rear suspension S/ABS insulator from rubber to urethane.

The 2024 Hyundai i30 Sedan N is now available in Australia, with the Premium variant priced at $52,000 for both the manual and DCT auto options, excluding on-road costs.
