The McLaren 720S has gone official at the Geneva Motor Show, replacing the outgoing McLaren 650S with a new twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8.

The name comes from the fact that it develops 720PS (who uses that system of measurement anyway), in simpler terms the 720S will put out 529kW of power and 770Nm of torque and is able to smash out 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds! 0-200km/h is done in just 7.8 seconds and top speed is rated at 341km/h.. Ooft!

Power is run by a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and 20-inch rear alloy wheels with carbon ceramic brakes. Those hefty brakes will be able to stop the 720S in just 4.6 seconds/116m from 200km/h to 0.

The McLaren 720S is available to order right NOW! However, be ready to fork out $489,900 (plus on-road costs), and prepare to wait till July/August this year for it to arrive.
