Skoda has announced pricing and specs for the 2019 Fabia range, featuring new safety tech.

The Fabia will offer either a 70TSI with five-speed manual, making 70kW and 160Nm, or an 81TSI with seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, making 81kW and 200Nm. Both with 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engines. Both models are also available as a wagon, for an extra $1500.

Standard features include autonomous emergency braking, a rear-view camera, six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and roof rails on the wagon.

Options start with the Sports Pack for an additional $1800 which will include sports suspension, rear parking sensors, a flat-bottom steering wheel, tinted windows, a front armrest and cruise control.

The Premium Sports Pack for $3600 will add adaptive cruise control, keyless entry, driver fatigue monitoring, DAB+ digital radio, a pair of USB ports in the rear and higher-spec climate control.

The Vision Pack for $1800 will give you full-LED headlights, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, LED tail-lights, auto headlights and wipers, along with an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.

The top of the range Fabia Monte Carlo, will have the 85TSI powertrain will standard features as well as 17-inch black alloy wheels, tinted windows, sports seats and pedals, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and sports suspension.

The optional Technology Package for $1800 includes keyless entry, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, driver fatigue monitoring, DAB+ and twin USB ports in the rear.

The $1400 Vision Pack adds full-LED headlights, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic lighting and wipers, and an auto-dimming rear mirror.
