New details on the next-generation Audi RS7, which will come in two drivetrains.

Audi’s chief designer, Marc Lichte, states that the new RS7 will be powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, providing around 485kW and 815Nm, with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Additionally, 0-100km/h is reached in under four seconds with a top speed of 305km/h.

The new RS7 trumps the current RS7, which features 445kW of power and 700Nm of torque.

A plug-in hybrid version of the RS7 will also be offered, with over 520kW of power.

The new RS7 will be available in Europe late 2018, with Australia expected to have to wait until 2019.
