Alfa Romeo is working on two new hybrid setups, one based on the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder Veloce engine, and one based on the 2.9-litre Quadrofoglio V6.
Along with its goal to deliver better performance, the benefits of electrification should include lower emissions and better fuel efficiency.
The energy-recovery system (ERS) is expected to add an extra 50kW, amd when applied to the V6 in the Quadrifoglio, the system could deliver a 100kW boost. Making the cloverleaf coupe able to reach 475kW.
Sales are expected to be available in late 2019 and pricing to be at a premium to the four-door.
