The 2018 Audi Q8 Concept has been revealed this week at the Detroit Motor Show to become Audi’s new flagship SUV. Taking on the likes of the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, the Q8’s coupe-like design will be both luxurious and sporty.
Its dimensions are as follows:
- Β 5.02 metres long
- Β 2.04m wide
- Β 1.70m tall
- Β 3.00m-long wheelbase
Audi states that the Q8 will have a combined power figure of 330kW thanks to aΒ 17.9kWh lithium-ion battery pack and electric motor adding the extra punch. The Q8 will also hit 700Nm of peak torque, with a max speed of 250km/h and reach 0-100km/h in just 5.4 seconds. With all this power, you would think efficiency would be an issue, but projected range of the Q8 is a whopping 1000km in total.
As SUV’s consume over half of the luxury market, it is no wonder that company’s such as Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz continue to innovate and release improvedΒ SUV’s one after the other. The competition has now gotten even strongerΒ with Audi’s unveiling of the Q8.
