Formula E has revealed its second-generation ahead of its 2018-19 season.

The next generation of cars in Formula E will boast double the battery capacity, extending the range that a Formula E car can reach. Before this, teams would have to swap cars mid-race.

The new generation will also feature the controversial Halo feature which is also being introduced in Formula 1. The Halo will be accompanied by a revamped, aggressive aerodynamics package. The rear wing will be replaced with a split design above an angled diffuser. Inspiration from Indycar is seen in the side-pods.

The Gen2 car will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show on March 6.
