Mazda has revealed the 2019 MX-5 will feature a more powerful 2.0-litre engine, reach-adjustable steering column, and standard reverse camera.
The standard Roadster features include auto on/off LED headlights, rain sensing wipers, power windows, black cloth trim, climate control, leather trimmed steering wheel and 16-inch alloy wheels. Safety features include a reversing camera, autonomous emergency braking, front and side airbags, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, traffic sign recognition and tyre pressure monitoring. The Roadster will have a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated SkyActiv four-cylinder engine.
The Roadster GT, RF and RF GT will feature the new 2.0-litre SkyActiv engine and larger 17-inch alloys. Outputs will now reach 135kW and 205Nm thanks to lighter pistons and conrods, reduced mechanical resistance, increased throttle diameter, enlarged exhaust ports, intake manifold revisions and a new dual-mass flywheel.
Additional equipment for Roadster GT and RF GT includes a proximity key, adaptive LED headlights, heated leather seats, heated exterior mirrors and an auto-dimming interior mirror. The GT also adds driver attention alert, lane departure warning, rear park sensors, and reverse SCBS.
