Welcome to the weekly roundup of everything Formula 1! Here you will find a summary of the biggest news and announcements every week in the F1 world. Daniel Ricciardo put in a super-human showing in Monaco, dominating the weekend from the first practice session to the last lap of the race. The F1 World is buzzing, and we are here to fuel your F1 needs with the latest news:
• Rosberg: Ricciardo Should Go To Ferrari:
2016 F1 World Champion Nico Rosberg has stated his opinion on where Ricciardo should drive next with his lucrative services still up in contention. Rosberg stated that Ricciardo should leave Red Bull and sign with Ferrari. “I think it would be a good choice for him, a good move” states Rosberg. Many question whether either Hamilton or Vettel would be happy with Ricciardo as a teammate considering Ricciardo’s talents and attitude suggest he wouldn’t settle for playing second-fiddle to either driver.
• F1TV Issues:
Many in the F1 world have suffered issues during the Monaco GP whilst utilising Liberty Media’s subscription service, F1TV. Many experienced F1TV to be inactive for a period of time, during which the start of the GP was missed. Others have expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of awareness for spoilers on the service, with many feeling the results of the race were ruined by pictures of Daniel Ricciardo and race results before accessing replays.
• Netflix To Screen F1 Documentary:
Netflix have revealed a new Formula 1 documentary series based on the 2018 season will be shown on Netflix in early 2019. The announcement comes after a successful series showing on Amazon based on McLaren’s dire 2017 season. F1 released a statement, saying the series will show the “intense fight for the heart, soul and direction for the future of this multibillion-dollar business.”
And that wraps up everything in F1 for this week. Stay tuned next week for more from the F1 Weekly Roundup!
