Based on the Ti model, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio First Edition aims to win over the already jam-packed luxury SUV market. At the heart of the car is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine putting out 206kW of power and 400Nm of torque, with power sent to all-four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Stock kit includes: 20-inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights and coloured brake callipers on the exterior. The interior will receive steering-mounted paddle shifters, heated front seats, wooden trim, along with an 8.8-inch infotainment system with GPS (as you would expect from a luxury SUV) and a 7.0-inch TFT driver’s display between the dials.
Not bad, but the real mystery is how it will stack up against major competition, particularly in Australia, with major forerunners including Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and now even Maserati.
