Revealed earlier today in Detroit, the Kia Stinger will arrive in Australia to rival those buyers interested in the likes of the Hyundai Genesis, or even the not so Australian Commodore. It will arrive with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, limited slip differential and independent rear suspension.

The two variants are as follows:

  • 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 with 272kW of power and 510Nm of torque (0-100km/h estimated at 5.4 seconds)
  • 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder with 190kW of power and 353Nm of torque

Pricing for the range-topping Stinger will be around the $50,000 mark, while the 2.0-litre will be roughly $40,000, providing an edge over major competitors in the sport-saloon market.
